Exercise for more than 30 minutes a day

dailytipYou’ll have probably heard this one but it does make a difference.

According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, they recommend you do moderate exercise for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. This can range from going for a walk to your local shops, taking the stairs or gardening.

However, members of the National Weight Control Registry found by exercising for an hour every day that they were able to lose on average 66lbs more and maintain this weight loss for over 5 and a half years.

To help maintain your weight loss or lose weight, try incorporating the following into your daily exercise regime: taking the stairs instead of a lift; leaving your car at home and walking to your local shop; going for a bike ride; gardening; hovering or going for a swim. Any one of these exercises can help naturally boost your metabolism and your weight loss.
